Telangana govt. urged to organise Pravasi Bathukamma in Dubai

Former Ambassador B. M. Vinod Kumar has urged the Telangana government to organize Pravasi Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai, as per wire material from the News Agency. The Telangana government's NRI Advisory Committee chairman made this request in letters to Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Cultural Sarathi chairperson G. V. Vennela Gaddar.

Kumar suggested the celebrations be held on October 17 under the Department of Culture's aegis. The Pravasi Bathukamma festivities, he explained, are tentatively scheduled for Dubai on October 17. Mr. Kumar named Nangi Devender Reddy, Kottala Satyam Naragoud, and Dubai-based social worker Sutari Satyanarayana as key coordinators for the event.

According to the wire material, the celebrations in Dubai would offer Telugu diaspora in the UAE a chance to exhibit and maintain Telangana's cultural customs, thus preserving their bond with their homeland.
