Telangana burglar tracked to Varanasi after Wilson Garden theft; 271 gms gold seized

A 32-year-old man, Nenavat Vinod Kumar, alias Mohammed Bashir, from Telangana, has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing a residence in Wilson Garden, Bengaluru. Vinod, a B.Com graduate and driver, is accused of traveling to Bengaluru by flight for the theft. He was tracked down to Varanasi after investigators analyzed technical evidence and details related to a vehicle booking made by him.

The accused allegedly left Bengaluru and later visited Varanasi for a religious trip. Police recovered 271 grams of gold ornaments, estimated to be worth around ₹40 lakh, from Vinod. He has a history of house burglaries in Hyderabad, with 30 cases registered against him at various police stations; however, this is reportedly his first recorded burglary in Bengaluru.
