Sarawak Oil Palms staff, family members join social hiking at Lambir Hills National Park

Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP) employees and their family members came together for a social hiking activity at Lambir Hills National Park, according to a report on September 23. Around 170 participants, representing various departments and locations across Sarawak, along with their family members, took part in the 'Kasi Jadi Social Hiking' event.

The program aimed to promote camaraderie among employees, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and foster stronger relationships within the workforce. Employees gathered early in the morning and embarked on two designated hiking routes, taking in the scenic trails and waterfalls of the national park. SOP emphasized that the activity went beyond mere recreation and highlighted its commitment to employee wellbeing and unity.

Senior Sales and Distribution manager Jack Jong expressed his delight at the strong turnout, noting the staff's collective support for health, teamwork, and employee wellbeing. The program concluded with participants reporting back to the working committee and enjoying a meal, marking the event as memorable. SOP plans to continue organizing similar initiatives to cultivate a workplace culture that values wellbeing, unity, and meaningful connections among its employees across the state.
