Russian drone hits near Architecture University campus in Kyiv

A drone strike near the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUBA) campus in Kyiv occurred on September 23. Russian forces launched a series of drone attacks throughout the morning and afternoon. Local Telegram channels captured a video of the incident, which shows students who were outside at the time of the attack recording the drone hitting a university building in Solomyanskyi district.

Fortunately, no KNUBA students, faculty, or staff were injured. As part of air raid alerts, classes were suspended to ensure everyone's safety. The university urged the community to take air raid signals seriously and remain in shelters until the all-clear signal. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that a drone struck a store building, while another drone hit a nine-story nonresidential building at the fourth-floor level in the same district.

Russia carried out a significant drone attack on Kyiv overnight and throughout the morning and afternoon of September 23, targeting various civilian buildings, gas stations, Ukrainian Railways facilities, warehouses, a business center, and a market near the train station. The attack resulted in two fatalities and 22 injuries, with 16 of the injured receiving hospital treatment.
