Rosmah Mansor remains steadfast in opposing any attempt by Global Royalty Trading SAL to enforce a RM67.5 million judgment against her, her lawyers have stated. Following the refusal of the Court of Appeal to stay the execution of the order, Rosmah is now exploring her options to contest the ruling via the Federal Court or the Supreme Court while the appeal is pending.

Her lawyers, Reza Rahim & Rajivan, noted that they are examining the implications of the Court of Appeal's decision and intend to file a petition in the higher courts while the appeal is being resolved. The lawyers emphasized that the lawsuit from Global Royalty against Rosmah lacks legal or factual foundations. Earlier today, the Court of Appeal dismissed Rosmah's application for an interim stay of the order until the appeal is concluded.

The appeal is scheduled to be heard on March 25 next year. The three-judge panel, comprising Firuz Jaffril, Amarjeet Singh, and Aliza Sulaiman, also ordered Rosmah to pay the court fees of RM30,000. Firuz informed Global Royalty's lawyers that they can take any action they wish to enforce the High Court judgment. On June 10, Chief Justice Quay Chew Soon granted an interim injunction against Global Royalty to pay RM67.5 million within a month for 43 items allegedly borrowed from Rosmah.

The Lebanese-based company claims the items, valued at USD14.57 million (approximately RM67.5 million), remain its property and have not been returned. On August 12, Chief Secretary to the Government Marianne Antoinette Ghani granted conditional stay to Rosmah, requiring her to deposit the total judgment amount of approximately RM67.5 million into a joint account of her lawyers within a month.

Rosmah subsequently appealed to the Court of Appeal for a full stay of the order on June 12. According to her lawyers, the appeal was filed against the High Court's decision on June 12.
