RedMagic 12 Pro+ To Launch In China This October; Teasers Show Thinner Design

RedMagic has announced that it will release its newest flagship gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, in China this October. This marks the launch of the flagship model for the RedMagic 12 series, succeeding the lineup from the previous year. To generate buzz, Nubia, the gaming-focused sub-brand of RedMagic, has begun sharing teaser images online.

What stands out from these images is that the upcoming RedMagic 12 Pro+ has a redesigned exterior for improved ergonomics. According to the teaser images, the device is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, though specific dimensions have not been disclosed yet. The pictures also reveal that the phone has rounded corners, which the company claims will provide a more comfortable grip.

Additionally, the shoulder triggers of the RedMagic 12 Pro+ have been redesigned with rounded edges. A separate teaser image also showed that the new flagship features even thinner bezels than its predecessor. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ boasts a mere 0.96mm bezel compared to the 1.25mm found on the RedMagic 11 Pro+. However, the brand has not yet confirmed the full specifications of the smartphone.

It is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset from Qualcomm, though this has not been officially confirmed by Nubia yet.

The device is also predicted to include an advanced cooling system, although details regarding this feature remain undisclosed. While RedMagic has confirmed the availability of the RedMagic 12 Pro+ for the Chinese market, there is still no information on an international release. If the phone follows the pattern of its predecessor, it may find its way to Malaysia by the end of the year. For now, this remains speculation, so the best course of action is to await the company's official announcement.
