Raja Perlis berkenan terima menghadap duta besar Indonesia

Raja Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, graciously welcomed Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Mohammad Iman Hascarya, at the Blue Reception Hall in Arau Palace, according to the report. The palace statement explained that the meeting underscored the steadily growing and close ties between Malaysia and Indonesia, particularly Perlis state.

Perlis state's proximity to Thailand and the northern Sumatra region provides strategic advantages in strengthening cross-border relations and regional cooperation networks, as stated.

Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Penang, Wanton Saragih Sidauruk, was present during the event. The palace noted that the relation between Perlis and Indonesia has been strengthened through cooperation in education, particularly through the establishment of Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (Umam) in the state. Umam is the first campus of Universiti Muhammadiyah outside of Indonesia and recently appointed Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, as its new chancellor, on September 14th.
