QFZ, Honeywell Technologies partner to establish manufacturing and service hub in Qatar

The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) and Honeywell Technologies have entered into a strategic agreement to create an integrated manufacturing and service hub in Qatar's free zones. The partnership aims to bolster local capabilities in mission-critical industries. HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of QFZ, and Matt Spalding, Vice President of Process Technology at Honeywell Technologies, signed the Memorandum of Understanding at the Qatar Economic Forum: UNGA Special Edition 2026.

The hub will initially focus on machining and servicing Honeywell Technologies' Sundyne pumps, serving customers in Qatar, the Middle East, and Africa. The collaboration also opens avenues for broader cooperation across Honeywell Technologies' portfolio, including process technology, automation, cybersecurity, and building automation solutions.

By fostering such partnerships, QFZ aims to strengthen Qatar's industrial ecosystem, expand localized manufacturing and servicing capabilities, and improve customer efficiency, resilience, and operational intelligence. QFZ's integrated platform, strategic connectivity, and investor ecosystem provide a solid foundation for scaling these capabilities, aligning with the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
