Amman - The 25th Amman International Book Fair is set to kick off on Thursday, marking the fair's Silver Jubilee year. The event, co-hosted by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture and a selection of Qatari publishers, will draw significant interest from across the Arab world and internationally.
This participation underscores Qatar's ongoing engagement in Arab cultural events and exhibitions. It also highlights the strong historic ties between Qatar and Jordan, providing a platform to deepen cultural exchanges and offer Jordanian readers access to a diverse range of Qatari literary works and cultural experiences.
The fair's diverse programming will span the Jordan International Exhibition Center (Mecca Mall), the Royal Cultural Center, and the National Library of Jordan. Scheduled to run until October 3, attendees can look forward to a schedule packed with over 60 events. These will include lectures and discussions on intellectual, critical, and philosophical topics, evening performances of poetry and storytelling, dialogue sessions, hands-on workshops, and film screenings of documentaries.
