Qatar Chamber hosts dialogue session for Women Entrepreneurs

In Doha, the Qatar Chamber engaged in discussions with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Employment of Sri Lanka to explore avenues for enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations. The meeting, led by the First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, aimed to identify investment opportunities for both countries' private sectors.

The two sides explored potential investments in Sri Lanka, with a particular focus on the agricultural sector, while also evaluating opportunities for cooperation in other mutually beneficial areas. Al Kuwari emphasized the significance of strengthening economic and trade relations between Qatar and Sri Lanka, underscoring Qatar Chamber's dedication to fostering communication between the private sectors of both countries and acquainting Qatari businesspeople with the investment prospects available in Sri Lanka.

In response, Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra extended an invitation for Qatar Chamber representatives and Qatari businesspeople to visit Sri Lanka. He encouraged them to investigate investment opportunities, gain insights into the local business environment, and understand the advantages the Sri Lankan economy offers to investors. Hemachandra also suggested that the Qatari delegation could participate in the 'Sri Lanka Expo 2027,' scheduled for January 2027.
