PM to chair Chintan Shivir with ministers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to chair a two-day Chintan Shivir, starting Wednesday, alongside Union ministers. The purpose of this gathering is to evaluate the performance of each ministry, examine objectives and results, and strategize for the remainder of the government's third term. During the sessions, ministries will be organized thematically and present their performance, particularly in crucial sectors, as well as the blueprint for the upcoming term.

Review meetings are routinely held, and real-time monitoring of each ministry and department is conducted through interactive dashboards on their websites. Notably, no aides or bureaucrats will participate in the discussions. Earlier, a briefing was provided outlining the session's structure to ensure proper planning.

The meeting arrives amid heightened opposition pressure on the government over various issues, such as the rising prices of essential commodities and fuel due to the West Asia crisis. Additionally, it coincides with the government's efforts to appease the younger demographic, especially students who are frustrated with examination shortcomings and lack of employment opportunities.

According to a source, the meeting was preceded by the creation of eight-member ministerial groups tasked with focusing on specific areas for improvement, administration, and communication. The agenda for the meeting and background notes have not been released, and each of the groups will present on designated days, followed by a discussion with the remaining ministers.

However, the specific agenda remains undisclosed, with some ministers expressing anticipation about the outcomes.
