Pakistan's Hockey Federation (PHF) President, Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, has announced that the country will host multiple international hockey events in the coming months. Foreign teams, including China, Canada, and three European nations, are scheduled to visit Pakistan, which the PHF president believes will boost the sport's popularity and activity in the country.
Wani also announced plans for a 10-nation international hockey event in December and a domestic hockey league, both aimed at further developing the sport. The PHF has requested the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) to move the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy from India to a neutral venue, but the continental body has yet to respond. Wani emphasized that Pakistan's national honor and dignity are the federation's top priority when dealing with international hockey matters.
