NBEMS reduces qualifying percentile for NEET SS 2025; check group-wise cut-off score here

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has reduced the minimum qualifying percentile for candidates who took the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025. The qualifying percentile has been lowered from 50th to 30th percentile. This change was made possible by a Supreme Court order dated September 19, 2026, which allowed the medical board to adjust the qualifying percentile to fill vacant super speciality seats.

The revised result has been shared with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates who have scored 30th percentile or above in their respective NEET-SS 2025 question paper groups are now qualified and can apply for the counselling process. The board has clarified that no fresh scorecards will be released and the NEET SS 2025 question paper group-specific rank will remain unchanged.

Candidates can check the revised group-specific qualifying cut-off scores in the provided table. The board has also informed candidates that their aggregate marks in MBBS professional examinations will be verified against their original credentials during the admission process. If incorrect marks are found to have been used to resolve a tie, the candidate's NEET-SS 2025 candidature will be cancelled.
