Moeve reorganiza su estructura y dirección para acelerar sus proyectos de moléculas verdes

Moeve has redesigned its operational model and leadership committee to expedite the implementation of its Positive Motion strategy, aimed at driving industrial green molecule projects and enhancing customer-centric solutions in a more volatile environment, Europe Press reports. The energy company has established an eight-member leadership committee, down from 10, effective from January 1, 2027, with a transitional period in place.

This structure is intended to increase decision-making speed, improve integration between activities, and optimize the value chain through coordinated management of capabilities and resources. The new organization comprises two areas: Operations, responsible for secure, efficient, and competitive industrial asset operation, as well as new project execution; and Commercial, overseeing customer relations, commercial activities, innovation, business strategies, and integrated B2B value creation.

Operations will be led by Robin Mooldijk, joining from Shell in October, while Jos� María Solana will head Commercial, previously the group's CEO for Chemistry. The structure is rounded out by Trading and Optimization, managed by Alice Acuña, responsible for coordinating and optimizing supply chains, energy and chemical product trading, production planning, and integrated logistics.

Mobility division, focusing on service stations, remains under Pierre-Yves Sachet's leadership. Corporate functions like Finance, People and Organization, Legal and Assurance, and Corporate Affairs will operate cross-functionally across the Group to strengthen capital allocation, talent management, governance, and stakeholder relations.

This model aims to better leverage scale and specialization within Moeve, streamline processes, and accelerate execution while maintaining clear accountability for each business's results, the company explains in a statement. The leadership committee will include group CEO Maarten Wetselaar, Mooldijk as chief Operations officer, Solana as chief Commercial officer, Acuña as chief Trading and Optimization officer, Sachet as executive vice president Mobility, Carmen de Pablo as chief Financial officer, Bettina Karsch as chief Human Resources officer, and Virginia Beltramini as legal director and council secretary.

Corporate Affairs head Juan Llobell will report directly to the CEO. According to Wetselaar, Moeve is progressing towards a more integrated model that combines marketing, logistics, production, and trading to offer multi-energy solutions with greater value, aligning with its goal of becoming a European leader in the transition to green energy.

The CEO thanked Carlos Barrasa, Antonio Joyanes, and Jos� Manuel Martínez for their contributions to the company's strategy and achievements thus far, welcoming Mooldijk to reinforce the implementation of the new operational model and execution of large industrial projects, aiming to position Moeve as a European leader in green molecule production.

This reorganization follows an initial phase where the company granted greater autonomy to its businesses to develop capabilities and opportunities, now aiming to execute and scale projects, capitalize on scale economies, and coordinate industrial and commercial areas more swiftly while preserving technical specialization and market proximity.
