Marriage Is Not For Me – Tima Kumkum

Media personality Cynthia Tima Yeboah, widely known as Tima Kumkum, has revealed that marriage is not for her, after experiencing two failed unions. Addressing the Be Inspired by Tima Women’s Conference 2026 at Faithway International Chapel, the broadcaster faced criticism from segments of the media about her failed marriages but remained unfazed.

"People ridicule me on social media for my two failed marriages, but I won't allow their words to define me," she affirmed. Tima, who married her first husband Kwadwo at 24, disclosed in a 2021 interview that her initial marriage, lasting five years and resulting in two children, was a retaliatory act against her ex-boyfriend, who had cheated on her with her best friend.

"I married my ex-husband just to spite my ex-boyfriend for cheating on me with my friend. I wasn't in love with him when we got married, which he knew, but he believed I would fall in love with him over time," she admitted. Following their divorce, which she deemed the best choice she ever made, Tima remained a single mother for four years before marrying Dominic Duodu on July 15, 2023.

Their 21-month marriage ended in August 2025, with the couple residing apart since April 1, 2025, and their divorce proceeding through the court system. Tima labeled herself as "partially single" and commended Dominic as a responsible father.
