Lynx news: Napheesa Collier gets 100% real on 'embarassing' loss to Fever

The Minnesota Lynx faced a 96-77 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Fever on Tuesday, suffering a significant embarrassment at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever outpaced the Lynx in the first quarter, 31-16, and despite a late rally by Minnesota, Indiana continued their dominance in the final quarter, sealing a 19-point victory. Napheesa Collier, who finished with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting and two rebounds, expressed her dissatisfaction with the team's performance, calling it "embarrassing" and "disappointing."

Chloe Bibby led the Lynx with 15 points from five three-pointers, while Liatu King contributed 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Minnesota entered the game trailing by as much as 29 points in the first half, marking the first time they had fallen behind by more than 20 points this season. The Lynx shot 38% from the field and gave up 21 points on 17 turnovers.

Coach Cheryl Reeve opted to bench her starters for most of the second half. The Lynx and Fever will clash again on Thursday at Target Center to wrap up the regular season.
