Karoline Leavitt, the youngest-ever White House press secretary, recently shared her experience of being a working mom in an interview on Sean Hannity's podcast. Leavitt, 28, and her husband Nicholas Riccio have two children together. She said being a working mom was "the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life." Leavitt joined the Trump administration's national press team just days after giving birth to her first child in July 2024.

The long hours and constant demands of her job took a toll on her, making it difficult to balance her work and motherhood responsibilities. After giving birth to her daughter Viviana in May, she realized she couldn't continue in her role and made the difficult decision to leave the White House in August. Trump was reportedly kind and understanding about her decision, but Leavitt ultimately realized her children needed her at home during their formative years.
