Islamabad Set to Host Major International Tennis Tournament

The Junaid Family Foundation (JFF) has pledged support for the World Tennis Women’s 15,000 Futures Tennis Tournament, set to be held in Islamabad from October 12 to 17. Organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) and sanctioned by World Tennis, the event is anticipated to draw around 40 international players and promising Pakistani female tennis talents.

JFF emphasized that its sponsorship aligns with its broader commitment to women's empowerment, health, wellbeing, and development. The foundation has a track record of backing healthcare and development projects in Pakistan, such as maternal and child nutrition programs. Ansir Junaid, Chairman of the Junaid Family Foundation, highlighted that the organization's support for women transcends clinical interventions.

He stated, "Investing in women's health has always meant more to us than clinical interventions. This tournament enables us to aid top athletes while shedding light on the health and wellbeing of women and girls across Pakistan." Junaid also noted that the tournament would coincide with other significant events for women's tennis in Pakistan, including another Futures tournament and the Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania competition, which would further elevate the sport's profile.

For Pakistani players, participating in the event provides a unique opportunity to compete against international counterparts on Pakistani soil, thereby gaining invaluable experience in competitive tennis.
