I Don’t Know Kevin Taylor – Mahama

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has distanced himself from controversial US-based broadcaster Kevin Taylor, asserting that he has never met or spoken with the individual. According to Mahama, Taylor was once a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but became critical of the party's leadership after becoming disillusioned. The President made these remarks during a breakfast meeting with clergy members, titled "Building the Ghana We Want Together."

Mahama explained that Taylor's dissatisfaction with the NPP led him to direct his criticisms towards both the party and certain religious leaders, including pastors. He clarified that he had no prior knowledge of Taylor and had not spoken with him before. However, Mahama did mention that he was acquainted with Taylor's father, a chief at Asamankese, whom he encountered during a campaign tour in the area.

"I know his father," Mahama stated, indicating that this relationship could potentially be leveraged to address the issues surrounding Taylor's criticisms of individuals.
