GPL: Hearts trip, Kotoko draw as Debibi, Port City claim wins

Accra Hearts of Oak suffered their first loss of the season after a goalless draw with Bechem United at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. Despite dominating possession and creating chances, Hearts failed to break through. Asante Kotoko maintained their unbeaten start after a 1-1 draw with FC Samartex 1996 at Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

Their goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, saved a penalty and Emmanuel Mamah scored the only goal in the 75th minute before Samartex's Christian Agyenim Boateng equalized eight minutes later. Samartex now sits second on the table with five points, level with leaders Hearts, while Kotoko are fourth with five points and have yet to concede an away win this season.

Bibiani Gold Stars staged a remarkable comeback to defeat 10-man Dreams FC 3-2, winning their first top-flight match of the season. Dreams took the lead early through Razak Salifu, but Gold Stars equalized in the 69th minute and then restored their lead with Mohammed Shaban in the 81st minute. Bernard Kesse sealed the victory in stoppage time.

The Miners achieved their maiden victory, while Dreams await their first three points of the campaign. Aduana FC secured their first-ever win of the season with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro. Stephen Amankona gave Aduana the lead with a penalty, but Nyaba Iddi Mahfuz equalized for Karela.

Mohammed Shawkan's late goal in added time secured the win for Aduana. In another historic moment, Debibi United recorded their first-ever Ghana Premier League win, defeating Young Apostles 3-0 at Debibi Presby Park. Basake Holy Stars rebounded from their opening defeat with a 1-0 victory over FC Ashantigold 04 at the AAK II Sports Arena in Ampain.

Port City FC celebrated their first Premier League win after defeating Berekum Chelsea 2-1 at Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi. Francis Gyetuah scored twice for Port City, while Jamal Haruna equalized for Chelsea.
