GMA rejects claims that vessel monitoring system Is ineffective

The Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) has firmly rejected allegations that its vessel monitoring system is ineffective and that vessels sailing in Ghana's waters are not under surveillance. In a press release dated September 22, 2026, the GMA categorically stated that the claims put forth by Dennis Miracles Aboagye are false and misleading. The Authority emphasized that its maritime surveillance system is fully operational, maintaining constant vigilance over vessels operating within Ghana's maritime domain.

The GMA explained that it employs various maritime monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive surveillance of vessels.
