Georgia WR Has Bizarre Incentive Built Into NIL Deal

Georgia Bulldogs' wide receiver London Humphreys may not be the team's most prolific offensive player, but he is indispensable to the team, according to coach Kirby Smart. In his first three games, Humphreys has only two catches for 11 yards and one scoring touchdown. Instead, his impact on the team comes through his work on special teams.

Smart revealed that Humphreys has a unique incentive in his NIL deal - the more special teams he plays, the more money he earns. Smart emphasized Humphreys' character and work ethic, noting that he is one of the best blockers on the team, an ability that may not be reflected in box scores but is crucial to the team's success. Despite his reduced offensive output since his freshman year at Vanderbilt, where he caught 22 passes for 439 yards and four scores, Humphreys seems content in his role on special teams and is earning money while doing so.
