Game of Thrones Star Kit Harington Isn't a Gamer, But He's Excited for Grand Theft Auto 6

Kit Harington, best known for his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, has revealed that he is not a big gamer himself. However, he expressed excitement about playing Grand Theft Auto 6, after seeing advertisements for the upcoming game. During an interview with Josh Horowitz, Harington discussed his limited experience with the gaming world, mentioning that he had played a few games like Tekken, Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, and most recently, Hogwarts Legacy.

When Horowitz asked if Harington had ever tried Grand Theft Auto, the actor admitted he wanted to play GTA 6 once he saw some of the advertising. Harington also expressed admiration for videos that mimic GTA's tropes in real life, indicating that the influence of the game is reaching even non-gamers. Rockstar, the game's developer, is investing heavily in marketing the game, assembling a team of musicians to create an original soundtrack, and spending nearly $1 million on a "Welcome to Vice City" sign in Miami.

NBA player Steven Adams has even joked that he expects basketball performance to drop when GTA 6 releases in November. As for Harington specifically, he did not disclose whether he will play the game or not, but he has had some experience in gaming, including playing a main antagonist in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and voicing Jon Snow in Telltale's Game of Thrones video game. His next major role is set to be Gildroy Lockhart in HBO's Harry Potter TV series.
