Former Big Brother Mzansi contestant Ashay Sewlall heads to Tropika Island

Former reality show contestant Ashay Sewlall is set to take on the physical and mental trials of Tropika Island of Treasure, premiering on SABC 1 on September 23. Filmed on Réunion Island, the celebrity-led competition features a star-studded cast including Nadia Nakai, Caster Semenya, and Francois Hougaard. The 25-year-old, who previously appeared on Big Brother Mzansi, is known for his positive attitude, competitive spirit, and athletic background.

As a former professional footballer who completed the Comrades Marathon, Sewlall believes his fitness and sport background will aid him on the island. Despite his drive, he intends to maintain a positive demeanor and prioritize getting to know his partner. Should he win the R1 million prize, Sewlall plans to invest the money towards starting his own business, in addition to pursuing his career in presenting, content creation, modeling, and acting.
