Dolly Parton's Manager Files Restraining Order Against Her Nephew

The estate of country music icon Dolly Parton has recently filed a lawsuit against her former head of security, Bryan Seaver, and is seeking a restraining order. According to court records, the entity, She’s Alive, LLC, filed the complaint on September 22nd. The lawsuit stems from violent threats Seaver allegedly made while attempting to extort money from the estate's manager, Danny Nozell.

Nozell alleges that Seaver threatened to extort money from the estate, alleging that Seaver used his military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence to pressure Nozell. Seaver's text messages, submitted as evidence to the court, contain threatening statements, including claims that he would destroy the brand and ruin Dolly's partnerships unless Nozell complied.

Seaver denies the allegations, claiming that some of his text messages were taken out of context and that he was merely engaging in "rage talk" with Nozell while grieving. Seaver, who has been security at Parton's properties for over two decades, was fired the week prior to the lawsuit. He confirmed one of the allegations in court filings, stating that he is a career soldier and military contractor who conducts arms deals for foreign governments, and that he is a "killer."

The Parton estate maintains that Seaver's behavior was threatening and dangerous, and they seek a restraining order to keep him away from their business affairs.
