CS Mvurya hails Saudi Arabia for continued support of Kenya’s development agenda

Youth Affairs and Creative Economy Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its ongoing backing of Kenya's development plans. Speaking at the 96th National Day of Saudi Arabia in Nairobi, Mvurya mentioned that over the years, Saudi Arabia has been a partner in helping Kenya, citing a 2.5 billion shilling grant for a clean cooking program.

The goal of this initiative is to move 50% of Kenyan homes to LPG cooking solutions within five years. Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Kenya, Saad Abdullah Alnofaia, who hosted the event, noted that Kenya and the Saudi Kingdom have a friendly relationship. He also mentioned that Saudi Arabia will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Kenya, highlighting how the two countries have expanded their collaboration in various sectors like trade, investment, energy, agriculture, health, education, infrastructure, and technology. Direct flights between the two nations have also increased to 11 per week.
