Channel 13 News Poll: Eisenkot bloc leads with 52 seats, Netanyahu bloc with 51

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump posted an article from Newsmax on his Truth Social platform, featuring a Channel 13 election poll projecting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc to secure 54 seats in the upcoming Israeli election. The poll also indicated that Yashar's Yashar party would lead with 22 seats, while Likud would fall to a low of 18 seats. Despite these projections, the Netanyahu bloc strengthened to 54 seats, surpassing the change bloc's 52 seats.

In August, Trump reportedly mentioned to FOX News that he "may endorse somebody" in the Israeli election, though he stated it would be "most appropriate for me to stay out of it." This statement followed reports from Israeli media sources indicating that individuals close to Netanyahu's main political rivals, such as Gadi Eisenkot and Naftali Bennett, had communicated with Trump's associates through acquaintances, donors, and political allies, requesting neutrality in the election.

Additionally, an Axios report suggested that Trump questioned Netanyahu about Likud's position in the polls during Netanyahu's late July visit to Washington.

Recent polls have revealed a divided political landscape in Israel, with the upcoming election scheduled for October 27. According to Channel 13's poll, Yashar led with 22 seats, while Likud dropped to 18. The change bloc, on the other hand, gathered 66 seats, consisting of 54 seats for Zionist parties and 12 for Arab parties. Other polls, including those from Channel 12, Channel 14, and KAN News, presented mixed results, with no clear outcome between the blocs, leaving the political system in a deadlock or showing a slight advantage for the opposition.
