AT&T seemingly has no plans to support Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature

Apple has recently settled a class-action lawsuit, agreeing to pay out $250 million to U.S. iPhone owners. To claim your share of the payout, you must meet certain requirements. First, you must live in the United States and have purchased an iPhone between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The eligible devices for the payout are the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and any iPhone 16 model, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

If you are not an Apple representative or employee, you are eligible to receive a payout of approximately $25. However, this amount may change due to legal fees and the number of claim submissions. The payout could range from $25 to a maximum of $95. To claim your payout, visit the dedicated website Smartphone AI Settlement, fill out the claim form, and provide your iPhone's serial number.

The deadline for submitting a claim is December 21, 2026. It's best to submit your claim sooner rather than later to avoid forgetting. If you choose not to claim the settlement, you will still be bound by the terms of the settlement but will not receive any money. The final hearing on the settlement fairness is scheduled for February 24, 2027, and payments are expected to be made after that, taking several months.
