Arham Sayyed's Cybersecurity Workshop at ITM Skills University: Web Security, DevSecOps & Honeypots

Arham Sayyed, a full-stack developer and security researcher based in Mumbai, conducted a cybersecurity workshop at ITM Skills University's School of Future Tech in Kharghar on September 7, 2026. The workshop was held in collaboration with Haxnation and aimed to provide B.Tech students with hands-on experience in cybersecurity. The workshop consisted of three sessions, each tailored to the respective academic year of the students:

1. Second Year B.Tech students: This session focused on web security and network analysis, with no prior security knowledge assumed.

2. Third Year B.Tech students (Cybersecurity Specialization track): This session built upon the knowledge from the first session and covered topics like DevSecOps, CI/CD security, GitHub Actions, honeypots, and intrusion detection.

3. Final Year B.Tech students (Cybersecurity Specialization track): This session also covered DevSecOps, CI/CD security, GitHub Actions, honeypots, and intrusion detection.

Throughout the workshop, Arham Sayyed emphasized the importance of learning by doing, demonstrating live exploits and providing students with the same tools and environments to practice themselves. The workshop used tools such as Burp Suite, Wireshark, GitHub Actions, a honeypot, and an intrusion detection system.
