Anambra Govt releases fresh evidence of unpaid salaries under Peter Obi [PHOTO]

The Anambra State Government has released fresh evidence in its dispute with presidential candidate Peter Obi regarding unpaid salaries and financial obligations left behind by his administration. The new document, a 2024 out-of-court settlement agreement, contradicts Obi's claim that he left office without any outstanding financial liabilities.

The state government shared the document titled "Terms of Settlement" on its X account, stating it proves Obi lied about his administration's financial dealings. The agreement, signed on February 6, 2024, between the Anambra State Government and the AUPCTRE, addresses issues stemming from the defunct Anambra State Water Corporation and ANSEPA.

It highlights that Obi refused to pay salaries for eight years, a situation that was later settled by the Water Corporation. The Anambra government accuses Obi of lying about his claim to leave office without debt or unpaid obligations.
