Anambra flood: Pupil missing as police rescue nine

Nine individuals, including seven schoolchildren and two adults, were rescued from a flooded section of the Nibo–Isiagu Road in Anambra State's Awka South Local Government Area following heavy rainfall between Monday and Tuesday. Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga revealed that the rescue operation, carried out by Safe School Operatives in collaboration with community members, took place early Tuesday morning when the victims were traveling along the route.

However, one additional child remains missing, prompting sustained search and rescue efforts by the police. State Commissioner of Police Nnanna Ama called for continued community assistance and urged caution around flooded areas.
