Alvys acquires LoadOps customers; Optym keeps LoadAi

Alvys is acquiring the LoadOps customer base from Optym as part of a strategic partnership, it was announced Wednesday. The financial details of the deal remain private. With this move, Alvys will become the transportation management system (TMS) for carriers and brokers previously using LoadOps, which was Optym's TMS offering. Optym retains its LoadAi platform, which focuses on load planning and driver assignment, and is now dedicating its resources to this technology.

Optym has been applying operations research to freight planning for over 25 years, and LoadAi serves asset-based carriers across North America.

Ravi Ahuja, founder and CEO of Optym, explained that the partnership allows the company to focus on its core mission of solving complex optimization problems in transportation. Ahuja stated, "We built Optym to solve the hardest optimization problems in transportation. This partnership lets us put everything into that mission."

Alvys evaluated several transportation management systems before selecting Optym as the best choice for supporting the LoadOps customer base as those customers scale. The two companies are migrating LoadOps accounts to Alvys' TMS individually, with the primary goal of providing a platform for continued growth and success. Nick Darman, founder and CEO of Alvys, expressed gratitude to Ravi and the Optym team for the opportunity to partner with their LoadOps customers and provide them with a single platform for dispatch, accounting, compliance, and driver management.

Alvys and Optym are working closely with each account to ensure a smooth transition. Early operations have already migrated within days of the first call, and initial users have already recommended the system to their peers. Alvys, founded in 2020, moves approximately $9 billion in freight annually, with 60,000 driver accounts. The company has raised $77 million in total funding, including a $40 million Series B round led by RTP Global in September 2025.

Alvys recently introduced new features called Alvys Foundry, which launched on August 11th. This feature enables carriers and brokers to build agents for tasks such as check calls, invoice and settlement preparation, and track-and-trace exceptions, using Alvys' templates or creating custom solutions. Both companies have plans to announce a shared offering for the combined customer base, and Alvys indicated there are multiple potential opportunities for deeper partnerships between the two organizations.

Ahuja added, "Our LoadOps customers needed a TMS partner built for the long haul. Alvys is that partner. In meeting with Alvys' clients and leadership team, we are working with them to make a smooth transition."
