After boycotting last year because of Israel: Netherlands to participate in Eurovision

The Netherlands has decided to return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027, following its recent boycott due to Israel's participation, according to Dutch public broadcaster NPO. AVROTROS, the original broadcaster, announced in August that it would not take part in the event, citing neutrality concerns over Israel's involvement in a large-scale military conflict.

NPO took over responsibility for the Netherlands' Eurovision entry and granted itself an extension until the end of September to assess its options. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) had previously given a September 15 deadline for countries to confirm their participation. The final semi-final rounds and grand final of the 2027 contest will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria, from May 11-15, 2027, jointly hosted by Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and the EBU.
