$4 thrift-store painting authenticated as N.C. Wyeth sells for over $100,000
Tracy Donahue found a painting by N.C. Wyeth at a thrift store for just four dollars. After years in storage, she discovered its authenticity during spring cleaning when she saw a signature. The painting went to auction and garnered a high bid, but the sale was ultimately canceled. A private collector later bought the artwork for over $100,000, providing funds for a family trip.
