16 terrorists killed in separate security forces, police operations across Balochistan: state media

In a series of security operations across Balochistan’s Mastung, Turbat, and Quetta districts, at least 16 terrorists were killed on Wednesday, according to state media. Radio Pakistan reported that security forces neutralized two terrorists linked to Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-driven assault in the Jausak area of Turbat. The Pakistani government has designated Balochistan-based terrorist groups as Fitna al Hindustan to emphasize India’s potential involvement in terrorism and destabilization in the region.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Television (PTV) disclosed that security forces continued their operations against terrorists in Balochistan under the Raddul Fitna-3 initiative. In Mastung, nine terrorists were killed after attempting to launch an attack on a checkpost, with heavy weapons, ammunition, and three motorcycles also seized.

In Quetta, the Balochistan police engaged in a gun battle with terrorists who had targeted a police station in the Aghbarg area. Five terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan were killed during a fierce exchange of fire, according to Saddar Senior Superintendent of Police Shafqat Janjua. The attackers arrived on motorcycles and targeted the Aghbarg police station before encountering police resistance.

The Edhi Foundation reported that one of its ambulances was allegedly hijacked by armed men in Balochistan on Wednesday. The ambulance, en route to the Edhi Kalat Centre from Gidar, about 110 kilometers away, was taken over by unidentified armed individuals who assaulted the Edhi worker.
