Wuhan launches autumn festival featuring 279 cultural events

Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei Province, has kicked off its autumn consumption season and launched the Wuhan Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau's "Tour Wuhan" program. Spanning from September to November, the season is packed with 279 events, including four carnivals and a biennale.

Among the highlights are the 11th China Peking Opera Festival, the 15th Qintai Music Festival, and the 16th Wuhan International Acrobatic Art Festival. For the first time, the city is hosting an automotive carnival, collaborating with carmakers like Xiaomi, AITO, and VOYAH to create unique, culture-infused experiences.

The "Wuhan City Music New Showcase" adds a new twist, bringing pop-up performances to metro stations, riverside urban balconies, and other landmarks, bringing the stage closer to residents' daily surroundings. The city also offers Yangtze River fireworks shows, nighttime river cruises, and autumn-themed activities across its districts, alongside several new themed travel routes.

Businesses in Wuhan are offering promotional deals, with 160 cultural and tourism businesses providing 173 offers, including the "Heartbeat Wuhan Weekend Pass." To make the most of the season, visitors can look forward to the city's top 10 autumn attractions, a digital check-in passport, and culture-and-tourism blind boxes, all offering discounts and other benefits.
