Watch: Cuban Diplomats Walk Out Of UNGA Hall After US President Donald Trump Calls Cuba A 'Failed State'

During the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, US President Donald Trump described Cuba as a "failed state" and accused the communist regime of being under intense pressure. Standing at the UN General Assembly hall, Trump stated his administration aimed for a "fundamental change" in Cuba, asserting that it was "failing like never before" and would eventually collapse.

He quoted, "It's an absolutely failed state." Trump also mentioned that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was involved in negotiations with Cuba. "Marco Rubio is handling a negotiation. He's deep into negotiations with Cuba. But let's see what happens," he added.

Trump further alleged that Cuba maintained connections with left-wing radical and communist networks in the United States, including the Communist Party USA, Antifa, and the Democratic Socialists of America. He claimed the Cuban government had been coordinating with these groups for decades. Trump emphasized that communism would never arrive in America, but freedom would soon come to Cuba.

Following Trump's remarks, Cuban diplomats walked out of the General Assembly hall. The US President also connected Cuba to broader US concerns about security and foreign influence in the region, saying Washington would not permit a "haven for foreign adversaries" to threaten the United States from its border. Trump concluded by expressing optimism for the future of the region, stating that Cuba and Mexico's issues would contribute to a safer, better, and more beautiful place for all to live and thrive.
