Wardogs Season 2 Release Date Announced, Will Add Weather Including Rain

Wardogs Season 2 is set to release on October 15, bringing new content to the game including weather effects like rain. The first teaser shows heavy rainfall over a battlefield, hinting at the impact weather may have on gameplay. Players may face challenges such as reduced driving capabilities or visibility issues due to the elements.

However, if implemented well, dynamic weather could significantly alter the Wardogs experience by adding unpredictability. Along with weather, Season 2 will also feature a progress wipe, resetting players' unlocks and ranks to their initial state. This is aimed at rebalancing the game and preventing players from dominating the in-game economy through endless grinding.

Despite the inconvenience of having to re-earn everything shortly after the game's early access launch, developers hope this will maintain player interest. Wardogs has proven to be a massive success, selling over two million copies in its first weekend and remaining a top-played game on Steam. The developers, Bulkhead, are committed to expanding the game with more content, with no plans to slow down.

Additionally, Wardogs will eventually be released on consoles, but they are targeting a 2028 release to avoid overworking their team.
