The Varsity 845 girls soccer players of the week polls are now available online for selection between September 14 and 20. Coaches are urged to submit their game reports, and they may nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon. Each player from a team can be nominated once weekly until the postseason. Contestants compete for schools in Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan counties.
Winners in each weekly contest will be barred from competing for two weeks during the regular season. Last week, Abigail Munger from Pine Bush and Allison Froehlich from Rockland won the large- and small-school polls, respectively. Munger outperformed Olivia Jordan of Goshen and Avery Claudio of Newburgh, while Froehlich surpassed Hailey Hall of O’Neill and Haylee Presto of Wallkill.
Teagan Currid from Warwick claimed victory two weeks prior.
