Tabi Connect, Kleinschmidt partner to automate freight quoting

Tabi Connect and Kleinschmidt have joined forces to automate freight quoting, as announced on September 14. The companies revealed that integrating Tabi's Technology with Kleinschmidt's Intelligence Network allows freight quote requests to be directly sent to Tabi, where pricing rules are automatically applied before the quote is sent back to the shipper. This integration streamlines the quoting process and ensures consistent pricing strategies.

Tabi's Pricing Logic Engine enables brokerages to set rules based on factors like customer, lane, equipment type, and market conditions, automatically applying these rules to incoming requests. Ricky Gonzalez, CEO of Tabi Connect, stated that speed and consistency are crucial in today's competitive freight brokerage landscape. The partnership also integrates Tabi with Kleinschmidt's Capacity IQ platform, which predicts carrier availability using over 150,000 daily loads in North America.

By analyzing tender insights and predictive analytics, brokers can factor in expected carrier availability when determining rates.

Dan Heinen, president and CEO of Kleinschmidt, explained that Tabi helps brokerages consistently apply their pricing strategy to every opportunity, significantly reducing the time between receiving a quote request and responding. Tabi Connect currently connects with over 88 shipper TMS platforms, bid boards, and freight marketplaces, including 17 native API integrations and 71 robotic process automation (RPA) connections.

The partnership adds another connection to Tabi's extensive network, which includes more than 100 logistics companies and processes over 1 million quotes monthly.

The collaboration strengthens Kleinschmidt's position as an integration provider for transportation and supply chain companies, combining its external B2B connectivity with eBase Solutions' internal enterprise integration capabilities. This integration brings capacity data into the pricing process, enabling brokers to quote with greater confidence. Gonzalez emphasized that the capacity data flowing into pricing allows brokers to quote more confidently, not just faster.
