The Abia State Police Command has apprehended four individuals suspected of conspiring to steal and traffic a four-day-old baby, along with rescuing the infant and its mentally ill mother. The suspects arrested are Gladys Nathaniel, Victor Udochukwu, Chijioke Obunwa, and Onyeonoro Chinwe. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, unveiled the details in a press release, stating that the suspects were apprehended on September 16, 2026, by officers from the Violent Crimes Response Unit, Rapid Response Unit, and Obehie's unit.
