Survival Is Now A Daily Battle — Nedu Wazobia

Nigerian media figure, Nedu Wazobia, has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating economic conditions in Nigeria, stating that the average citizen is now forced to grapple with survival on a daily basis. In a recent video, Nedu enumerated a range of escalating expenses, including food, rent, school fees, transportation, fuel, and healthcare, all of which are placing immense financial strain on Nigerians.

He highlighted that many individuals receive their paychecks only to see their funds evaporate quickly due to the mounting bills.

Nedu further connected the economic pressure to some dire decisions being made, as people are now compelled to engage in actions they never would have considered under more favorable circumstances. He asserted, "People are doing things they never imagined they will do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this our country."

Nedu emphasized the Nigerian populace's desire for an economy where hard work translates into a decent standard of living. "We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with little less fear and a little more hope," he concluded.
