Security forces kill 6 terrorists in intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Saran Tangi

On Tuesday, intelligence-based security forces operations in Balochistan's Saran Tangi area resulted in the death of six terrorists and the arrest of nine suspected individuals, as reported by state-run Radio Pakistan. The operation, named 'Operation Shaban-2', targeted terrorists affiliated with the Fitna al Hindustan group, a designation designated by Pakistan due to India's alleged involvement in terrorism and destabilization in the country. Security sources indicated that the operation was conducted based on intelligence information.

Among the recovered materials were a significant cache of ammunition and weapons. President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his admiration for the 'bravery and professional skills' of the security forces for their successful counter-terrorism efforts. Zardari emphasized that the war against terrorism, which he claimed was driven by foreign interference, would continue, stating that Fitna al Hindustan and its supporters would not succeed in harming Pakistan's peace and stability.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the security forces' actions, praising them as 'the pride of the nation' for thwarting the 'nefarious designs' of Fitna al Hindustan and vowing the nation's solidarity in the fight against terrorism. Balochistan has experienced an uptick in terrorist activities recently, with the number of attacks rising by seven percent from 83 cases in July to 89 cases in August, according to a monthly assessment by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies.

On Monday, security forces in Panjgur district carried out another intelligence-based operation, eliminating four more terrorists linked to a banned organization. Last week, 11 terrorists were killed in separate operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts.
