Regional Round (South) of NTPC Electron quiz held in Chennai

The Regional Round of South NTPC's esteemed Electron Quiz took place at the MMA Auditorium in Chennai, drawing enthusiastic participation from some of India's top engineering and management institutions. Out of the 230 teams that competed in the preliminary round, six advanced to the grand finale. The quiz, presided over by Gautam Bose, a respected quizmaster, was designed to highlight NTPC's commitment to powering the nation's growth while fostering young talent and promoting learning, innovation, and intellectual excellence.

At the conclusion of the intense final round, IIT Madras emerged victorious, with IIT Madras securing the second position and Rajalakshmi Engineering College finishing third. The top two teams will compete in the semi-finals, set to be held in New Delhi on October 7, 2026. The winning team was awarded ₹60,000, while the runners-up received ₹40,000, and the second runners-up were given ₹20,000. All consolation prize winners were gifted ₹8,000 each, as per the event's release.
