Palo Alto Networks unveils AI-powered cybersecurity service using Claude, GPT models

Palo Alto Networks announced on Tuesday the launch of a new cybersecurity service for businesses, leveraging cutting-edge AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI. The service, named Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, aims to identify security vulnerabilities across corporate systems by utilizing cyber-focused AI models such as Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5 and OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber, alongside open-weight models.

This innovative approach addresses the growing threat of AI-powered hacking, where cybercriminals exploit vulnerabilities in corporate networks. The service will continuously test web applications, application programming interfaces, and cloud infrastructure, enabling customers to detect vulnerabilities and possible attack paths as their digital environments evolve.

In addition to identifying security gaps, Palo Alto’s service will offer guidance on fixing security issues, including code-level fixes and virtual patching options. The service will be accessible globally through annual subscriptions, with pricing determined by the combination of OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models chosen by the customers.
