Nigeria records 18.8m passengers in 2025, clinches 4th position in Africa — FAAN

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) revealed that Nigeria recorded more than 18.8 million domestic and international air passengers in 2025, placing it as the fourth-largest aviation market in Africa. FAAN's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, announced the figure during the ACI Africa Regional Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Abuja.

The passenger figure marked an 11.9% year-on-year increase, demonstrating Nigeria's growing role in the continent's aviation market. The conference, with the theme "Next-Gen Airports: Driving Performance and Resilience," aimed to address the continent's aviation challenges and promote growth.
