New York Yankees Host Tampa Bay Rays In Crucial 4 Game Series

The New York Yankees commence a pivotal four-game series at home against the Tampa Bay Rays, starting Tuesday, September 21. The Rays currently lead the Yankees by six games in the American League East standings. The Yankees hold an 89-66 record, while the Rays boast a 95-60 record. The Yankees still retain a strong chance at securing a Major League Baseball playoff spot; however, they cannot catch the Rays within the next seven games.

In fact, the Yankees would relinquish their Wild Card slot if they fail to do so. All seven remaining Yankees games are at Yankee Stadium, providing New York with a significant advantage.

In the upcoming series, the Yankees will be without a few key players due to injuries.
