Meet Larry Prince: Maamobi-born artiste turning street experiences into music

Maamobi-born Ghanaian artiste Larry Prince draws on his experiences growing up in one of Accra's vibrant communities to shape his music career. Known for relatable storytelling, resilience, and ambition, his journey began at a young age, with an early interest in music and performances. Influenced by the music of VIP, especially Promzy, Larry Prince adopted the stage name Larry Prince during a period of personal rebranding.

Starting with cassette recordings during his Junior Secondary School years, he later collaborated with producer Oshogbo at Muziklinic Studio in Lapaz, which significantly impacted his sound. In 2011, Larry Prince released his first official single, "Che Che Kuley," which garnered attention in 2012 and solidified his presence in the Ghanaian music scene.

His style blends Afrobeats and Afropop, featuring themes of everyday life, motivation, success, and entertainment. His most popular release is "SaachikinRami," and he has produced nearly 10 music videos, working with various directors like Prince Dovlo and Director Tee. Currently, Larry Prince is preparing to release an EP, with "Pamela" set to be one of its standout tracks.
