Lily-Rose Depp will be the bunny to Bill Pullman's Hef in Playmates

Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of actor Johnny Depp, is set to make her feature film debut in a coming-of-age drama directed by Lorraine Nicholson, Jack Nicholson's daughter. The script, written by Nicholson, draws inspiration from her own childhood visits to the Playboy Mansion. Bill Pullman will play the role of Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine.

However, the focus of the film will not be on Hefner's well-documented relationships with the Playmates, but rather on a 13-year-old know-it-all named Elle, played by Indiana Elle. Elle befriends Lily-Rose Depp's character, a Playmate hoping to become Playmate of the Month. Their friendship is portrayed as mutually beneficial, as the two help each other achieve their goals.

This unique premise contrasts with Hefner's reputation for encouraging competition among the women in his mansion, despite former Playmates like Holly Madison describing the environment as cult-like. Nicholson herself has previously written about her frequent visits to the mansion from birth until she was around 11 years old, noting that she spent more time there than her famous father.
