Lily-Rose Depp to Star in Playboy Mansion Drama ‘Playmates’ at Searchlight

Searchlight Pictures has acquired the directorial debut feature "Playmates," written by Bill Pullman and Indiana Elle Nicholson, based on Lorraine Nicholson's experiences growing up at the Playboy Mansion. The film stars Lily-Rose Depp in the title role of Elle, a thirteen-year-old aspiring playboy bunny who considers the Playboy Mansion her second home.

Elle meets Anna, one of seven hopefuls vying to be Playmate of the Month, and they form an unlikely friendship as they both seek magazine covers and romantic partners. The project is being produced by High Frequency Entertainment, with Alex Orlovsky and Duncan Montgomery at the helm, along with Depp. The film, described as a coming-of-age story set in Los Angeles, will be directed by Nicholson, who has previously written and directed the short film "Life Boat" and graduated from Brown University.

Depp, a two-time César Award-nominated actress, recently starred in Robert Eggers' critically acclaimed films "Nosferatu" and "Werwulf."
